Which Volvos to stay away from?
Okay, so you're asking which Volvos you might wanna, you know, steer clear of? Good question! Because let's be honest, nobody wants a car that's gonna spend more time in the shop than on the road, right?
From what I've heard (and, you know, read around online!), there are a few Volvos that have popped up on the "maybe not" list more than others. Specifically, the 2004 XC90, the 2012 S60, and the 2016 XC90.
Now, I'm not saying these are horrible cars, horrible is a strong word, and like with anything, it all depends. But they have been known to have a few more reliability quirks than some other models, if that makes sense?
You know, it's funny, because I remember my uncle had an older XC90 (not a 2004, thankfully!). And while he loved that thing, he was constantly tinkering with it. Something was always needing fixing. So, yeah, maybe there was something to those early XC90 years.
Of course, this is just a starting point, right? Before you make any big decisions, definitely do your own research. Maybe read up on common problems for those specific years and models. Check out forums, see what other owners are saying. I mean, hey, knowledge is power!
