Honestly, "free" international transfers? Don't trust it, not really. They get you some way. Heard my cuzin pay less wid Remitly than Western Union.

Banks, yeah, they'll charge you a fee, no doubt. Western Union too, tho it changes like, wid how much ya send, an where. I sent money to Mama in the Phillipines last year, cost me maybe $15 (around December 2022), I used the app.

Wise (formally TransferWise) & Remitly might look cheaper, but you gotta watch the exchange rate like a hawk. They sneak those fees in there, ya know? Always, ALWAYS compare the TOTAL cost before clicking send. That's what I learnt. Got burned once. Don't want you to.
