What are the 3 three main core functions of an organization list out?

For me, a business really boils down to three things: getting the word out (marketing), handling the money (finance), and actually making the thing (operations). Its frustrating how often one of these gets neglected! Without solid marketing, who knows about your amazing product? Finance a mess? Say goodbye to growth. And operations? Well, if you cant deliver, its all just talk. Its like a three-legged stool – knock one out and the whole thing collapses.

Okay, so you want me to talk about the three main things every organization needs to do, right? Well, for me – and honestly, after seeing businesses succeed and fail, this is what I really believe – it all boils down to three core functions.

First, you gotta get the word out! That's marketing, plain and simple. Seriously, what's the point of having the best widget in the world if nobody knows it exists? I remember helping my cousin with her bakery a few years ago, she was baking the most amazing sourdough, but barely anyone was buying it! Why? Because she thought good bread would sell itself. Nope! We started a simple Instagram account, posted some drool-worthy pictures, and BAM! Lines out the door. So yeah, marketing is KEY.

Second, and this might seem obvious, but you absolutely have to handle the money right. That's finance. Now, I'm not talking just about paying the bills (though that's important, duh!). I'm talking about understanding your cash flow, making smart investments, and planning for the future. I’ve seen companies with great products go under because they didn’t manage their finances properly. It’s kind of like…building a beautiful house on a shaky foundation, you know? It just won't last.

And finally, you need to actually make the thing, or deliver the service. This is operations. This includes everything from manufacturing and logistics to customer service and product development. If you can’t consistently deliver a good product or service, all the marketing in the world isn’t going to save you. Think about all those restaurants that have a huge buzz when they open, but then the food is just…meh. They don't last, right? Operations is where the rubber meets the road, where your promises become reality.

So, marketing, finance, and operations. It’s like a three-legged stool. You can't neglect one without the whole thing collapsing! Has that been your experience too? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
