What is the most economical plane to fly?

Okay, so you wanna know the cheapest plane to fly? That’s a great question, honestly! It’s something I’ve thought about myself, dreaming about finally getting my pilot’s license. I mean, wouldn’t it be amazing?

People always bring up the Cessna 150, right? It’s like, the poster child for economical flying. Less fancy than some of the others, sure, but that’s what makes them appealing, right?

The thing is, though, “economical” is relative. Sure, these planes might have low fuel costs compared to, say, a Gulfstream jet, but even the cheapest planes still cost money. I remember my friend, Sarah, she was so excited about getting her license, but then the reality of hangar fees and insurance hit her like a ton of bricks. It’s not just the fuel, it’s the whole package. So, it’s a bit more complicated than just picking the plane with the smallest engine. You’ve really gotta do your homework. And maybe, just maybe, start saving up… a whole lot.
