Which US city boasts the highest GDP and economic output?

Okay, so highest US city GDP? New York, hands down. Seriously, it's not even close. I was there last July, the sheer energy was insane.

NYC's economic powerhouse status is undeniable. The numbers are huge – almost two trillion dollars in 2021 GDP. Crazy, right?

LA and Chicago come next, but way behind. I visited LA in 2022, the vibe was totally different. More laid-back, but still a big economy, obviously.

So yeah, New York. No question. Those numbers don't lie. New York-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA had a 2021 GDP of $1,992,779 million. Los Angeles followed at $1,124,682 million.
