Which type of coffee is popular?

So, what kind of coffee is everyone actually drinking these days? Honestly, I'm a total Arabica fiend! It's my absolute fave, and yeah, most people I know are right there with me. But, it's not like there's just one Arabica, right? I mean, a dark roast Ethiopian Yirgacheffe? Whoa. Seriously blew my mind the first time I tried it – all those bright, fruity flavors. It's like sunshine in a cup! Then you have something like a light roast Sumatran, which is totally different – earthy, almost chocolatey... maybe a little smoky? I remember once, I was in this tiny cafe in Portland, Oregon – the most amazing place, seriously – and they had this Sumatran that tasted like I was walking through a redwood forest after a rain shower. Weird, I know, but true!

The thing is, there's just so much to explore. It's not just about the beans themselves, either; it’s the whole process – where they grow, how they're roasted… the terroir, like they say. I read somewhere – some coffee blog, I think – that even the altitude the beans are grown at can dramatically affect the flavor. Crazy, huh? But that's what makes it so fun!
