Which type of coffee is popular?

So, what kind of coffee is everyone actually drinking these days? Honestly, I’m a total Arabica fiend! It’s my absolute fave, and yeah, most people I know are right there with me. But, it’s not like there’s just one Arabica, right? I mean, a dark roast Ethiopian Yirgacheffe? Whoa. Seriously blew my mind the first time I tried it – all those bright, fruity flavors. It’s like sunshine in a cup! Then you have something like a light roast Sumatran, which is totally different – earthy, almost chocolatey… maybe a little smoky? I remember once, I was in this tiny cafe in Portland, Oregon – the most amazing place, seriously – and they had this Sumatran that tasted like I was walking through a redwood forest after a rain shower. Weird, I know, but true!

The thing is, there’s just so much to explore. It’s not just about the beans themselves, either; it’s the whole process – where they grow, how they’re roasted… the terroir, like they say. I read somewhere – some coffee blog, I think – that even the altitude the beans are grown at can dramatically affect the flavor. Crazy, huh? But that’s what makes it so fun! I’m always on the hunt for my next favorite, you know? Like a coffee treasure hunter!
