How long is it OK to wear jeans?
Wash jeans every 3-10 wears, or when they smell. Active use requires washing every 3 wears. Desk jobs allow more wears before washing.
Okay, so, how long can you really wear jeans before they need a wash? That’s like, the million-dollar question, right? Everyone’s got their own jean-wearing philosophy!
Basically, the general rule of thumb I’ve heard is somewhere between 3 and 10 wears. But honestly, it totally depends. Like, think about it – if you’re out hiking, sweating like crazy, probably after, like, three wears max. You’re gonna want to toss ’em in the wash. I remember this one time I went hiking in the summer, wore my favorite jeans…big mistake! They were so gross afterward. Lesson learned!
But, if you’re just sitting at a desk all day, maybe you can stretch it out a bit longer, you know? Maybe closer to that 10-wear mark. I mean, if they don’t smell and there aren’t any obvious stains, why bother washing them? Over-washing can fade them, and nobody wants faded jeans, right? I mean, unless that’s the look you’re going for, which, hey, no judgment here!
Ultimately, I think the best way to know is to just give ’em a sniff test. Seriously! If they’re starting to get a little funky, it’s probably time. Trust your nose! It’s usually pretty reliable. What do you think, am I crazy, or does that make sense?
