How much should you be eating per meal?
Okay, so how much should you actually eat per meal? Ugh, if only I knew the exact answer! Honestly, this is something I still struggle with. You read all these articles, right? And they say, "Oh, aim for two to four cups of food per meal." Two to four cups! Seriously? Sometimes that feels like way too much, doesn't it?
Like, I personally end up just eyeballing it most of the time. I'm thinking, "Okay, how hungry am I really?" And then I adjust based on that. It's not exactly scientific, I know, but it's what works (most of the time!).
And then there are the kids! My little ones definitely eat less than me. I'd say maybe one or two cups for them? And even that can be a battle some days! It's like, they'll pick at it for an hour, and half of it ends up on the floor. Anyone else feel my pain?
It's all such a balancing act, isn't it? You want to make sure they're getting enough nutrients to grow and be healthy, but you definitely don't want to force them to overeat, you know? I feel like I'm constantly walking that tightrope!
Honestly, I wish there was some super simple, foolproof formula for this. Like, just plug in your age, weight, and activity level, and bam! Here's your perfect meal size. But alas, no such luck, right? We're all just figuring it out as we go.
