Can you wear compression socks for more than 12 hours?
Is it okay to wear compression socks for, like, a really long time…more than 12 hours, even? I’ve wondered this myself! Yes, you totally can. I mean, I've heard of people practically living in their compression socks! Especially if they're the kind with milder compression, you know, like that 15-20 mmHg range. VIM & VIGR, for example – their graduated compression socks are designed for all-day and even all-night wear. Why? Well, it's because the pressure is kinda focused around your ankles and feet, which makes them surprisingly comfy, even for 24 hours. Think about it – wouldn’t it be awful if they started getting less comfortable the longer you wore them? Makes sense, right? I remember my aunt wore them on a super long flight to Australia, like a 20-hour journey or something crazy, and her legs weren’t nearly as swollen as usual. It’s pretty amazing what a little bit of targeted pressure can do!
