What is the normal hand posture at rest?

Okay, so when my hands just chilling, Ive noticed its not flat like a board. I think its more natural with my wrist bent back a bit, maybe like 25 degrees? And my fingers are definitely curled inward, not completely, but in a relaxed way. The thumb is kinda out to the side, but facing my fingers, almost like Im about to pick something up. Its just comfortable and ready for action!

What's a "normal" hand posture, anyway? Is there even such a thing? I mean, seriously, aren't we all built a little differently? Okay, so my hands, when they're just hangin' out, chilling... they're not flat, not at all. Like, ever. Think of a board, stiff and unyielding? Nope. My wrists are bent back a little, maybe 25 degrees, something like that. It's hard to measure exactly, you know? I should probably get a protractor sometime... haha. And my fingers? Curled inward, definitely. Not all the way, though, just a relaxed curl. It feels natural, like they're ready to grab something – a coffee mug, maybe, or my phone. My thumb's kinda out to the side, but still facing my fingers – almost like I'm anticipating something. It's comfy, you know? Ready for action! Like, remember that time I was waiting for the bus and that squirrel ran right across my path? My hand was perfectly positioned to almost grab it. Okay, maybe I wouldn't have, but my hand was ready! It's all about that relaxed readiness, I think. Everyone's different, though. My sister, for instance, her hands are completely different at rest. Hers are way flatter. Maybe genetics? Or maybe she just holds them differently because of all that piano playing she did as a kid? Who knows!
