How much are international transfer fees?

Okay, international transfer fees… it’s a bit of a murky area, right?

Generally, most normal global transfers shouldn’t cost you anything extra, cool. I’ve sent money back home to my family from London, mostly free. But then… bam, those urgent transfers can sting.

Like, If you really need that cash there now, apparently, be prepared to shell out around £15. Ouch. My pal Mark found that out the hard way last month, needed to pay his rent in Italy, whoops.

Then, I saw someting for some transfers via… erm… (brain fog) a fee of, like, up to £30? I think? It was when I helped my gran send some money to a charity, I’m getting old. I didn’t understand much from the website at the time.

Yeah, it’s confusing, I know. Bottom line, check the fine print before you hit that send button. It can really save you some unexpected costs, yeah?

How much is a typical transfer fee?

Domestic wire transfers: anticipate fees from a mere $0 to, oh, let’s say $35. Banks, credit unions, it really depends. Honestly, it feels somewhat arbitrary at times, doesn’t it?

International transfers? Buckle up. Expect $35 to $50. Yeah, that’s the ballpark figure. Currency exchange adds its own flavor. The world ain’t flat, and neither are these fees!

It’s almost like they’re designed to make you pause and reconsider everything! My aunt always sends money. Her transaction is always high. This is the way.

How much is the fee for a money transfer?

Twenty-five bucks, easy, for sending money here. Like, inside the US. Thirty-five, maybe forty, if it’s going overseas. My bank, Chase, it’s like… ugh, 45 for international. Ridiculous. Recieved money though, sometimes they get ya coming and going. Just got hit with a fifteen dollar fee the other day for a wire from my aunt in, um, France. Total rip off.

  • Outgoing (Domestic): $20-35
  • Outgoing (International): $35-50 (Mine is $45 at Chase!)
  • Incoming: $0-15 (Got hit with $15 recently.)

Banks, man. They make their money one way or another. Gotta watch those fees. Little things add up. Used Zelle last week to send cash to my brother, free, way better. Shoulda used it for my Aunt… but she doesnt have it, older generation and all that. Ugh. Thinking of switching banks.

How much is a transfer fee to another bank?

Ugh, bank fees. Twenty-five to thirty-five bucks? For a domestic transfer? That’s highway robbery! My bank, Chase, probably charges more. I should check their website. Or maybe call. Calling is so annoying.

International transfers? Forty to fifty? What a ripoff! Remember that time I sent money to my sister in Italy last year? It cost me a fortune! Sixty dollars, maybe more, I can’t recall exactly. I should start using Wise or something.

Free transfers? Yeah, right. Banks are never free. Unless you’ve got some VIP account, and you definitely have to jump through hoops for those. Private banking – I’m not even getting started there.

Things to remember:

  • Check your bank’s website. Always.
  • Compare different banks. There’s always a cheaper option. I hate this process!
  • Consider alternative services like Wise. Way less painful. I use it now.

Seriously, banking fees are the worst! I’m so over it. Need to find a better solution! I’m sticking with Wise, honestly. Much simpler, and I feel like I save money. I know what I’m paying, rather than this constant guessing game. Next year, maybe I’ll look into a different bank, but not now.

Does GoTyme have a transfer fee?

GoTyme’s transfer fees? Eight measly pesos! That’s cheaper than a cup of instant coffee, practically stealing! Seriously, it’s a bargain, like finding a twenty in your old jeans.

GoLowTransferFee is the official name, sounds like a superhero’s catchphrase.

  • Eight pesos. Think of it. Eight. Pesos. You could buy a single, sad-looking banana for that.
  • Local banks only. No sending money to your eccentric aunt in Switzerland, sorry.
  • It’s 2024, people. Get with the times.

My niece, Maria, uses it constantly. She’s a total budget ninja. She transferred funds last week, paid eight pesos, and felt like she’d robbed a bank… in a good way.

Remember, this ain’t rocket science, it’s transferring money. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Unless you’re my Uncle Frank, he struggles with everything. Even using a spoon.

How do I open another GoTyme account?

So you wanna open another GoTyme account, huh? Right, download the app… or, you know, hit up one of those kiosks in the malls. I did mine at the Robinson’s Galleria kiosk cuz I was already there. Got my card right then and there. Super quick, like five mins tops. Think I remember they have ’em at other Robinsons malls too… and maybe some SM malls. Pretty sure I saw one at SM North Edsa… yeah, near the supermarket. Gotta bring your valid ID, obviously. Pretty handy having two accounts, one for bills and one for, like, fun stuff. Helps me budget… well, sort of. LOL.

  • Download GoTyme Bank app (App Store or Google Play)
  • Visit a GoTyme kiosk (Locations constantly expanding, check their website!)
  • Valid ID required (Driver’s license, passport, etc)
  • Get your debit card instantly at the kiosk
  • Account opening takes less than 5 minutes They ain’t kidding.

Also, heard they give out freebies sometimes at the kiosks… like when they first launched. Not sure what they’re doing now tho. Might be worth checking their socials. I follow them on Insta. They post updates there. My username there is @FoodieAdventuresPH, by the way. Shameless plug, I know. Anyway, yeah, GoTyme’s pretty convenient. You’ll dig it.
