Is there a big difference between 750 and 800 credit scores?
Is there a really big difference between a 750 and an 800 credit score? Ugh, you wouldn't believe how much that extra 50 points feels like! I mean, 750 is good, right? It is good. But man, I'm so close to that 800 club, it's driving me crazy! I'm picturing those sweet, sweet lower interest rates... the better credit card perks... it's like a carrot dangling just out of reach.
It's kind of like when I was trying to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I was so close to the qualifying time, but just couldn't quite shave off those last few minutes. This feels similar! So frustrating! Is it really worth stressing over 50 points? Probably. I was reading somewhere (I think it was NerdWallet?) that even a small difference in your credit score can save you thousands of dollars on a mortgage over the years. Thousands! So, yeah, maybe it is a big deal. Okay, it is a big deal. I’m gonna keep pushing for that 800. Wish me luck!
