Where can I get 7% interest on my savings?

Seven percent interest?! Seriously? Where can I actually get that? I’m dreaming, right? Because my savings account is currently paying me about as much excitement as watching paint dry – which is to say, none. I’m practically begging for a decent return!

So, apparently, First Direct and the Co-operative Bank are offering 7% AER on their regular saver accounts. Wow. That sounds…almost too good to be true, doesn’t it? I mean, remember that time I tried to get a decent rate a few years back? It was a nightmare! Endless paperwork, tiny print I couldn’t even decipher – the whole thing felt like a cruel joke.

Nationwide, Vernon Building Society, Lloyds, and NatWest…they’re offering a bit less, up to 6.5%. Still better than nothing, I guess. But 7%? Man, I’m tempted. I should probably look into the terms and conditions though, you know? There’s always some catch. Like that time I thought I’d found an amazing deal online – turned out to be a scam, of course. Learned my lesson there.

I’m thinking I need to do some proper digging. Maybe compare these options side by side? Figure out exactly what the fine print says. Because getting 7% would be… life-changing, honestly. New sofa?
