Why would a company hoard cash?

It infuriates me when companies hoard cash! Its not about prudent financial planning; its about ego. These CEOs, drunk on power, use shareholder money for vanity projects – pointless acquisitions and diversifications that boost their personal profiles, not the companys bottom line. Theyre building empires at the expense of real growth and returns for those who actually own the business. Its selfish and frankly, appalling.

Why do companies hoard cash? Seriously, it makes my blood boil! It’s not always about being smart with money, you know? I mean, sometimes it is, of course. But a lot of the time, I think it’s pure ego. Remember that whole thing with [insert name of company and a brief, relatable description of their cash-hoarding scandal]? That was classic. These CEOs, they get this power trip, right? They think they’re geniuses, so clever they could run the whole world. And then what happens? They use our money – shareholder money! – on these crazy vanity projects. Pointless acquisitions that nobody even asked for. Diversifications that make no sense. It’s all about puffing up their resumes, not actually building a better company. They’re more interested in building their empires than in, like, you know, actually making money for the people who own the company. It’s so frustrating! I’ve seen it happen with a few small businesses I invested in – they’d sit on piles of cash instead of reinvesting in growth, and you just want to scream! It’s selfish, short-sighted, and frankly, it’s just plain wrong. They’re playing with other people’s livelihoods, and that’s not okay. It’s appalling, isn’t it? They should be focused on growth, innovation, and, you know, giving us a decent return on our investment!
