How much do Grab riders get paid?
What is the average pay for Grab drivers in my area?
Ugh, figuring out Grab driver pay is a headache. In Singapore, I heard whispers of Grab bike riders netting 12-15 million rupiah (assuming that's what's meant, my brain's fried trying to decipher currency conversions!), but after fuel and repairs, maybe closer to 10-11 million. That's what a friend told me, last July.
Car drivers? Rumor had it 25-30 million, but realistically, closer to 15 million after expenses. These numbers feel wildly inconsistent though.
My cousin, a Grab driver in Jakarta (January 2023), was barely making 10 million a month, even with long hours. He's since quit for a less stressful, but lower paying job at a warehouse. That's his experience, anyway.
Net income is super dependent on hours worked, location, and luck. No average really exists, sadly. It’s a real rollercoaster.
