Is being a truck loader hard? Man, oh man, let me tell you. Yeah, it is hard, especially at first. I mean, seriously hard. Think about it – you're basically doing manual labor all day, lifting, heaving, shoving… my arms ached so bad the first week I thought they'd fall off. It's not just the lifting either; it's the stamina thing. You're on your feet for hours, constantly moving. Remember that time I loaded that shipment of canned peaches? My legs were jelly by the end of the day!

And then there's the whole "efficiently utilizing trailer space" thing. Sounds simple, right? Wrong. It's like a giant three-dimensional Tetris game, but instead of blocks, you have, say, bags of cement, boxes of fragile electronics, and those darned awkward rolls of carpet. Getting it all in there without crushing anything? Takes a while to learn, trust me. I remember my first week, I spent half the day rearranging things because I was so bad at fitting everything in. I was slow, and the supervisor kept giving me that look… you know the one.

But you know what? It gets easier. Honestly, it does. After a few months, you develop a knack for it. You learn the tricks, how to stack things, which boxes go where, how to judge weight and space instinctively...it’s almost like a superpower. I can load a truck now in half the time it took me at the beginning, and I'm actually pretty proud of that. So yeah, it’s tough at first, but it’s a job where you can really see your progress. And hey, at least you’re not sitting at a desk all day, right?
