What are 3 accounting jobs?

Okay, so three accounting jobs, huh? That's a BIG question. Seriously, I'm drowning in options after getting my Master's – who knew accounting could be so diverse?!

First off, there's the CPA route. You know, the tried and true, the "expected" path. My cousin took that route, and honestly, it seems super intense. All those exams, the endless paperwork… I remember him saying something about spending tax season practically living at the office! Ugh, not exactly my idea of a dream job, even if the money's good.

Then there's forensic accounting. That sounds amazing, right? Like a number-crunching detective! I've seen that show "White Collar" – way more exciting than balancing spreadsheets all day, I'll tell you that. I even read an article about a forensic accountant who helped uncover a massive insurance fraud scheme. That kind of impact, solving mysteries with numbers… seriously inspiring.

And finally, there's IT accounting. The future, they say! I mean, everything’s going digital, so naturally someone's got to keep track of all those transactions, right? It seems pretty cutting edge, but I'm also a little intimidated by how much tech knowledge I'd probably need. I'm still learning how to properly use Excel, let alone whatever advanced programs they're using now.

So yeah…CPA, forensic accountant, or IT accounting… It's a tough call. I want something challenging, sure, but also something that won’t completely suck the life out of me. And of course, the money part is important too, let's be honest. Maybe I should just flip a coin? (Just kidding... mostly).
