Do you drive or ride a motorcycle?
You ride a motorcycle. Unlike driving a car, riding involves more active control. Youre essentially the engine balancing and maneuvering. Think of it like this: you ride a motorcycle, but you drive a car.
Okay, so you ride a motorcycle, huh? That’s awesome! I always thought it looked so freeing, although, admittedly, a little scary too. My cousin, Mark, he’s a huge motorcycle enthusiast. He’s always saying, “You don’t just drive a motorcycle, you ride it!” And he’s totally right, isn’t he?
It’s not like being in a car, where you’re kind of cocooned in metal and just steering. When you’re on a bike, you’re part of it. You’re the engine, you’re the balance, you’re doing everything. You’re feeling the road, the wind, you’re actively working to keep it upright! I mean, think about it: you ride a horse, right? You’re working with it. It feels the same with a motorcycle, I guess.
Cars? Well, you drive a car. You’re kind of telling it what to do, but it’s doing most of the work for you, ya know? It’s like… a subtle difference, but a huge difference in experience, wouldn’t you say? I’ve never ridden one myself, but watching Mark, I can totally see it. He just looks… connected to the road in a way you never do in a car. Maybe someday I’ll try it… but for now, I’ll just admire from afar!
