Demetrius Lil Meech Flenory Jr. has been tapped to play the titular role of his father, Demetrius Big Meech Flenory, in the upcoming STARZ drama series “BMF.”

The series chronicles the rise and fall of the Black Mafia Family (BMF), a drug trafficking organization that operated from Detroit to Atlanta in the 1980s and 1990s. Big Meech, along with his brother Terry Southwest T Flenory, led the organization to become one of the most powerful drug cartels in the United States.

Lil Meech, the son of Big Meech, bears a striking resemblance to his father and is said to have studied his mannerisms and voice to bring authenticity to the role. He will portray the complex character as a son of Charles and Lucille and the older brother to Terry and Nicole.

“BMF” is an ambitious project that seeks to shed light on the rise and fall of a major criminal organization while also exploring themes of family, loyalty, and redemption. Lil Meech’s casting as Big Meech adds further depth to the project, as he brings a personal connection to the story and a deep understanding of the character.

The series is executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and the first season is expected to premiere on STARZ in September 2021.
