Is it possible to get a six month lease?

Is it possible to get a six-month lease? Well, I've wondered that myself a few times! It really depends, you know? Six-month leases are a thing, definitely. I mean, a year lease is pretty standard, the go-to for most places, but plenty of landlords are open to shorter terms. Think about it – sometimes it’s better for them to have someone in there for six months than have the place sitting empty, right?

It can be tricky though. Like, when I was looking for a place in Denver, almost everything was year-long. But then, when I was checking out apartments in that smaller town, Bellingham, more places had that six-month option. So, location is a biggie. And then each landlord is different too. I remember once, I asked about a shorter lease and the landlord, she was super nice, explained it was a condo association rule, no short-term rentals allowed. Stuff like that can really throw a wrench in your plans. So yeah, definitely, definitely get everything crystal clear with the landlord before you sign anything. Don't want any surprises later on!
