What lengths do sleepers come in?

Okay, so you're wondering about the sizes of railway sleepers, right? It's a good question if you're planning a garden project or something!

From what I've seen, the usual suspects you'll find are around 1.2 meters long by 200mm wide and 100mm thick, or 2.4 meters long with the same width and thickness (200mm x 100mm). I actually used some 2.4-meter ones for a raised garden bed once – they were perfect. A bit heavy to move on my own, I won't lie, haha!

But, you know, it's not just those two sizes. You can find sleepers that are even longer – up to 3 meters! And the thickness and width can vary quite a bit too, ranging from about 75mm x 150mm all the way up to 240mm x 120mm. So, there's definitely a size out there to fit whatever you're imagining.
