Ugh, negative impacts on the environment… where do I even start?

• Climate change is huge, obviously. Global warming is part of that whole mess, and it sucks. It makes me want to move to Iceland, lol.

Acid rain still a thing? I remember learning about it in like, uh, grade school.

• And photochemical smog... that's city stuff, right? Is LA still crazy polluted? I think so.

Wait, ocean acidification?

• The oceans are dying.

My mom always says how polluted the air is, and my dad always makes jokes about going green. The world is doomed.

My grandpa even says he doesn’t eat fish anymore. Can you believe that? What are we gonna do about it? I don’t even know!

Okay, so five bad things humans do to the planet, right? Ugh, it's depressing.

First off, deforestation. Seriously, chopping down all those trees? It's insane! My uncle, he works in logging, says it's getting worse every year. He's seen whole forests disappear. It's awful.

Then there's pollution. Plastic everywhere! In the ocean, on the streets, its just gross. And air pollution, too, makes me cough sometimes. My lungs hurt after a day in the city.

Next, overfishing. People are just emptying the oceans! It's unsustainable. My dad, he's a fisherman, says its getting crazy harder to find anything. He's worried sick.

Climate change is a huge one, obviously. Heat waves are getting more intense. And crazy weather patterns, like, way more powerful storms then when I was little. It's scary, man.

Lastly, intensive agriculture. All those pesticides and fertilizers? They're poisoning everything! The soil, the water, even our food, I bet. My friend’s family owns a farm, and they’re struggling to get good yields due to soil degradation. Its totally messed up.

Here's some more stuff:

• Habitat destruction: Building cities and dams crushes natural habitats. Animals lose their homes. It's terrible.
• Overpopulation: Too many people, simple as that. More people = more pollution, more consumption, more everything bad. It's a huge, complex issue.
• Mining: Think about all the stuff we mine, all the land we destroy. It's completely unsustainable. Its a massive environmental impact, way beyond what most ppl realise.
• Waste disposal: Landfills are overflowing. We’re generating way too much trash. It's a huge problem that we dont talk enough about. Its nuts.
