Okay, so, are salaries in Singapore higher? That’s the million-dollar question, isn’t it? Well, I was just digging into this the other day, and here’s what I found out. Apparently, the median monthly salary in Singapore in 2024 is like, around $5,500 Singapore dollars. Which, when you convert it to US dollars, comes out to roughly $4,074. Not bad, right?

And get this – that’s a pretty big jump from where they were just ten years ago! We’re talking a 45.9% increase! That’s an average growth of 3.8% every year. Wowza.

Now, at first glance, you might be thinking, “Singapore? High salaries? Definitely moving there!” I mean, I kinda had that thought myself for a second. But, and this is a BIG but… it’s not quite that simple. You’ve got to remember the cost of living. Which, let me tell you, is something I learned the hard way when I visited. A simple coffee can set you back a surprising amount! Seriously, comparing salaries across countries is like comparing apples and oranges if you don’t factor in how much it actually costs to live there, you know?
