Can you sit in a library without a library card?
Can you even imagine needing a library card just to sit in a library? Seriously?! In my experience, absolutely not! It's a public space, a sanctuary, a refuge – open to all. I mean, I've spent countless hours just soaking up the atmosphere, you know? Sinking into one of those worn leather chairs (if you can snag one!), surrounded by the quiet murmur of turning pages and the faint scent of old books… it's bliss. Perfect for people-watching too, let me tell you! Of course, checking out books is a different story. You'll definitely need that little rectangular piece of plastic for that. And, sometimes, – ugh, it's so frustrating! – you need it for the computers. Like, what if you just need to quickly check your email or something? Remember that time I was trying to print out my boarding pass and the library computer wouldn't let me without logging in with a card? Nightmare! But still, overall, it’s awesome that anyone can just wander in, no questions asked. Just to be there. You know what I mean? It's a beautiful thing.
