Do Chinese people care about sustainability?

Is sustainability important to Chinese consumers and businesses?

Wow, sustainability in China? It's a mixed bag, honestly. I've been there, Shanghai, last October. Saw tons of electric scooters, felt really good about that. A definite move towards green.

Seventy percent of consumers say they're on board. Actions? Yeah, a bit less clear. My friend, she works for a big retailer there, told me it's booming, sustainable products flying off the shelves.

But, the gap with the West? That's real. Westerners, my perception anyway, seem to be further along. They might be more vocal. More informed maybe? Maybe it's just my limited experience.

Over 70% of Chinese consumers support sustainability, with similar percentages actively engaging in sustainable practices. However, a significant disparity exists between Chinese and Western consumer sustainable behavior.
