Is Costco the biggest retailer in the world?

Costco, huh? Is it the biggest retailer in the world? I always thought it was, just because of how HUGE those warehouses are, you know? Like, seriously, you could get lost in there for hours. But nope, turns out I was wrong. Completely wrong!

Walmart's the big kahuna, apparently. I saw a statistic somewhere – six hundred and thirty-five billion dollars in sales last year, 2023. Six hundred and thirty-five BILLION! My brain nearly exploded trying to even imagine that kind of money. That's just...insane. Amazon's close behind, of course, with almost four hundred billion. They're like, the retail Godzilla and King Kong, right? Always battling it out.

Costco's doing pretty well, though. They're definitely kicking Home Depot's butt – two hundred and thirty-four billion isn't chump change! I remember needing a whole bunch of stuff for my kitchen remodel last year, and even though Home Depot was closer, I ended up at Costco just because of their bulk discounts. Saved a ton of money, it was crazy. But compared to Walmart and Amazon? It's, like, a David and Goliath situation. Still impressive, though! Makes you wonder what Costco would look like if they tried to compete on the same level. I mean, imagine a Costco-sized Amazon… my head hurts just thinking about it.
