Is it possible for a poor person to become rich?

Is it possible for a poor person to become rich? Gosh, that's a question I've wrestled with myself, you know? I mean, looking at my own family history...my grandpa started with nothing, literally nothing, after immigrating. He worked his fingers to the bone, scraping together every penny. And you know what? He wasn't rich, not in the flashy car, yacht kind of way. But he built a life, a comfortable life for his family, bought a little house, put his kids through school. That, to me, is a kind of richness.

But the original question, about getting rich rich... honestly? I believe it's possible. Incredibly tough? Absolutely. Like climbing Everest in flip-flops tough. But possible. Investing is a huge part of it, I think. I remember my uncle, bless his heart, he lost a bunch of money early on, gambling on some crazy tech stock. Lesson learned the hard way! Slow and steady is the way to go, diversifying into different things, you know? Stocks, bonds, maybe even a little real estate if you're smart enough – and lucky enough to find a good deal. And it's not just about money, it's the discipline it takes. The patience. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and sometimes I feel like I'm crawling, not running, especially when the market takes a dive. But seeing even small gains over time...that feeling is addictive, in a good way. It gives you hope, you know?
