Is McDonald's supporting Israel?

McDonald's Corporation states it does not directly fund any governments involved in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. While a local franchisee in Israel provided meals to Israeli soldiers, McDonald's parent company has clarified that this was an independent decision made at the local level.

Is McDonalds supporting Israel? Pro-Israel stance?

Okay, so the whole "McDonald's & Israel" thing has been a bit of a head-scratcher for me, tbh.

Here's the deal: McDonald's as a whole (the big corporation in America) says they aren't picking sides or giving money to any government in the Israel/Palestine conflict.

But.

The McDonald's in Israel? Yeah, they gave free meals to the Israeli military. Like, whoa. McDonald's corporate acted all surprised, said it was a local decision. (My brain: Uh huh).

That move by the Israeli franchisee caused major beef (pun intended!) in Muslim countries around Oct 2023. I even saw people boycotting here in my city! The price of a Big Mac? Irrelevant, principle was!

Honestly, it felt like a PR disaster. I, personally, felt weird eating there for a bit. They had this new "Spicy McCrispy" (Around $6 at my local drive-thru!) but suddenly lost its flavor.
