What happens in the movie Trainwreck?
Okay, so, Trainwreck, right? It's about this woman, Amy, who is so commitment-phobic, it's almost painful. Like, seriously, who hasn't been there at some point? Anyway, she meets this guy, Aaron, and – wouldn't you know it? – they start to, like, actually fall for each other. It's adorable and all, but also, I was sitting there the whole time thinking, "Oh no, girl, don't do it! Don't mess this up!" You just know she's gonna find a way to completely self-sabotage. It's so relatable, you know? I mean, I remember that time I… well, nevermind. It’s a whole other story.
Her sister, Kim, is trying to be the voice of reason, telling her to just chill and let it happen. Like, maybe relationships aren't all bad? Which, duh. But Amy's not hearing it. Then… and this is the worst part… her dad, Gordon, who's been sick, overdoses. Ugh, my heart just broke for her. You can see how much she loves him, even though their relationship is, well, complicated, to say the least. It’s like, all her fear of commitment, all her issues, suddenly make so much more sense. It just gets you right in the feels. I was a mess after that scene, honestly. I think I even cried a little, maybe? Don’t judge me.
