What happens in the movie Trainwreck?
Okay, so Trainwreck is about Amy, whos terrified of commitment. Then she meets Aaron, and ugh, they actually start falling for each other. Its sweet but also so frustrating because you just know shes going to self-sabotage it. Kim, her sister, gives her some real talk, reminding her that maybe this isnt so scary after all. But the worst part? Amys dad, Gordon, whos been ill, overdoses. Its heartbreaking because you see how much she loves him, even with all their issues.
Okay, so, Trainwreck, right? It’s about this woman, Amy, who is so commitment-phobic, it’s almost painful. Like, seriously, who hasn’t been there at some point? Anyway, she meets this guy, Aaron, and – wouldn’t you know it? – they start to, like, actually fall for each other. It’s adorable and all, but also, I was sitting there the whole time thinking, “Oh no, girl, don’t do it! Don’t mess this up!” You just know she’s gonna find a way to completely self-sabotage. It’s so relatable, you know? I mean, I remember that time I… well, nevermind. It’s a whole other story.
Her sister, Kim, is trying to be the voice of reason, telling her to just chill and let it happen. Like, maybe relationships aren’t all bad? Which, duh. But Amy’s not hearing it. Then… and this is the worst part… her dad, Gordon, who’s been sick, overdoses. Ugh, my heart just broke for her. You can see how much she loves him, even though their relationship is, well, complicated, to say the least. It’s like, all her fear of commitment, all her issues, suddenly make so much more sense. It just gets you right in the feels. I was a mess after that scene, honestly. I think I even cried a little, maybe? Don’t judge me.
