Most Polluted Country in the World 2024?

Okay, so, the most polluted countries... gosh.

Based on PM2.5 levels in 2023, Bangladesh tops the list. It had like, a crazy 79.9 μg/m³. Then comes Pakistan at 73.7 μg/m³.

India isn't far behind with 54.4 μg/m³. Tajikistan's at 49 μg/m³. Kinda scary, honestly.

I remember being in Delhi around Diwali (November '18 maybe?), and the air...oof. Like breathing soup. My eyes watered constantly. It was probably way worse than 54.4 that day.

This one time, I think it was 2015, flying over Lahore... I couldn't even see the city through the smog. Like, totally blank. It's not just numbers, y'know? It's people's lives.

Makes you think, what can we actually do, right? Not easy.

What are the top 3 most air polluted cities in the world?

Three cities… choking… always a race to the bottom, isn’t it? This year, though… it’s different.

Ho Chi Minh City, it hits you. A concrete jungle, suffocating. I've been there. The air… thick.

Hanoi, equally bad, some days worse. The smell… acrid. A persistent cough lingers.

That third spot… changes constantly. Damn frustrating. Lahore? Delhi? It's a toss-up. So many places. So much misery. I hate it.

  • Air pollution is a killer. Fact. Not an opinion.
  • These rankings shift daily. It’s infuriating.
  • Breathing is a privilege, not a right, in these places. It's awful. It's true.
  • My lungs hurt just thinking about it.

I spent three months in Hanoi in 2023. The haze was brutal. My asthma acted up something fierce. Still dealing with the aftereffects. Doctors say… well, they don't say much that helps. It's just… bad. Really bad.
