Which country has the lowest salary in the world?

Wow, lowest salary in the world? That makes you think, doesn't it? I was reading somewhere – I think it was last year, maybe early 2023? – that Rwanda had the absolute lowest average monthly salary. It's crazy, right? And they were talking about PPP, purchasing power parity, which I guess makes sense. It's like, how much can you actually buy with your money there? Because even if a salary seems low, if everything is super cheap, it might not be quite as bad, you know?

But still, Rwanda. Then, apparently, Gambia and Ethiopia weren't much better off. It's kind of heartbreaking to think about. I remember reading a story about a teacher in a small Rwandan village, just scraping by. It really stuck with me. I mean, how do you even manage? These are the kinds of things that keep me up at night. So, yeah, even though those exact numbers might shift around a bit, from what I’ve seen, Rwanda seems to hold the unfortunate title of lowest average wages. Makes you appreciate what you have, you know?
