Who is eligible for a pension in China? It’s such a mess, honestly. Like, what’s even going on? This whole pension system feels rigged against us. They keep pushing the retirement age up – 63 for men, okay, whatever. But for women? It’s this bizarre two-tiered thing. 58 if you’re a manager (which, let’s be honest, most women aren’t), and 50 or 55 for everyone else? I mean, seriously? That’s potentially years of extra work, you know? Years we could be spending with family, traveling, finally pursuing those hobbies we put off…gone. Just…gone. It feels like they’re stealing our time, especially for women who already face so much pressure.
