Why is it important to be involved on campus?
Is it really that important to be involved on campus? You have no idea. Seriously. For me, it was a total game-changer. I mean, yeah, my GPA did get a little love – which, let's be honest, made graduating seem a lot less like a distant dream. But it was so much more than that. It was… how can I explain it? Like finding your tribe, you know? Suddenly, I wasn't just some random student lost in a sea of faces. I belonged. I knew where to find the best coffee (crucial!), who to talk to about that ridiculously hard assignment (saved my life more than once!), and even where the secret napping spots were hidden (don't tell anyone!). The whole university experience, which felt so huge and overwhelming at first, suddenly became… manageable. Supportive, even. Like I actually had people in my corner. And the friends I made? Oh my gosh. Some of my closest friends to this day, I met through campus activities. Like Sarah, who I met in the photography club – we still go on photo adventures together! And remember that time we accidentally set off the fire alarm during our pottery class? Okay, maybe not my finest moment, but we still laugh about it. Seriously, getting involved? Best. Decision. Ever. If you're on the fence, just do it. You won't regret it. What do you have to lose, really?
