Okay, so, Golden Rule vs. Platinum Rule, huh? I've actually, like, thought about this before. It's more than just a saying, it really changes how you deal with ppl.

The Golden Rule is treat others how you wanna be treated. Simple, right?

But lemme tell you, that crashed and burned on me once. I thought my friend would LOVE a surprise party for their bday on 14 November at "The Rusty Mug" (place downtown), but they HATED surprises! Cost me, like, $150 on decorations and, uh, a really awkward night.

Platinum Rule: Treat others how they wanna be treated.

See, the Platinum Rule says, "Hey, everyone's different!" Some people might hate surprises (like my pal, oops). Some need space, some need encouragement. It's about seeing them, not just yourself in them.

I learned this the HARD way, haha.
