What is a good time for 5 km race?
Honestly, seeing those elite runners finish a 5k in under 20 minutes blows my mind! Id be thrilled to break 30, maybe even 25 minutes one day. Its a little intimidating, but also motivating to see whats possible. For now, Im focused on improving my own time and pushing my personal limits. A good time is relative, right? Its about challenging myself and feeling that runners high.
What’s a good 5k time, you ask? Well, honestly… seeing those crazy fast elites finish in under 20 minutes is just… insane. Like, how is that even humanly possible?! I’d be over the moon to break 30 minutes, heck, even 25 someday. It’s a little intimidating, you know? But also kinda inspiring to see what’s possible. I remember watching this one race, maybe it was the Peachtree Road Race? Anyway, the winner finished in something ridiculous like 13 minutes! ???? Me? I’m more of a “finish-and-celebrate-with-a-giant-pretzel” kinda runner. For now, I’m just trying to beat my own best time, which, let me tell you, is a challenge in itself! It was pouring rain last time I ran a 5k, and my shoes were soaked. Not ideal conditions, you know? So, a “good” time? It’s totally relative, isn’t it? For one person, it might be qualifying for the Boston Marathon, and for another, it’s just crossing the finish line. For me, a good time is when I feel like I pushed myself, felt that runner’s high, and, well, didn’t collapse in a sweaty heap at the end! ????
