So, can my Mac be spied on? Ugh, that’s a scary thought, isn’t it? The short answer is, yeah, unfortunately. It’s totally possible for some sneaky app to be watching everything you do. I remember once, I was trying out this new productivity app – sounded amazing, right? Promised to boost my writing speed… It ended up wanting access to everything. My keyboard, my mouse, even my clipboard! That’s when I really started thinking about this whole privacy thing.

You can check, though. It’s not all doom and gloom! Go into System Settings, then Privacy & Security – it’s a bit buried, I know, took me a while to find it the first time. And in there, you’ll see a list of apps and what permissions they’ve been granted. You’ll probably find some surprises, like that silly weather app that somehow has access to my location all the time! Why would it need that?! Anyway, you can revoke those permissions – just click to turn them off. It’s kinda like decluttering your digital life, which I always need to do. Seriously, I sometimes feel like I’m drowning in apps.

So, yeah. Keep an eye on those permissions. Be picky about what you give access to. You wouldn’t let a stranger into your house without a good reason, would you? Same goes for your computer. Just be mindful and you should be alright, hopefully!
