Where can you use an Apple Card? Apple Card acceptance.

Okay, so Apple Card. I used mine last Tuesday, July 18th, at Trader Joe's – no problem. Got groceries, paid with my phone, super smooth.

Lots of places take Apple Pay. Pretty much anywhere you see that little Apple Pay symbol. Think big chains.

But, smaller shops? Hit or miss. Remember that tiny bookstore downtown? Nope, no Apple Pay there. Cash only. That was annoying. $25 for a book, had to scurry for an ATM.

So, it's mostly everywhere Apple Pay works. Big stores, definitely. Smaller places...well, you'll need a backup plan sometimes.

Is the Apple Card accepted everywhere?

Is the Apple Card accepted everywhere?

Everywhere… It’s a big word.

  • Mastercard… It’s a Mastercard.

  • Global reach, yeah, I know, I know.

Goldman Sachs. I remember that. My dad used to talk about them. I never understood what they did.

It felt different when I applied. New. A shiny thing. I guess it goes where Mastercard goes. Almost.

  • Accepted globally, mostly.

My trip to that little cafe in Lisbon? Hmm, cash only. Go figure. Even now.

  • Exceptions exist, of course. There are always exceptions, right?

Still trying to understand why my card declined when I tried to buy some sweets from the local bakery last week. Must have been some system error.

Can I use my Apple Pay card anywhere?

A shimmering, cool expanse. Apple Pay. The promise of seamless transactions, a whispered wish granted. The sleek, silent exchange. It's everywhere, isn't it? Or is it?

My phone, a warm extension of my hand. I tap, a small, almost imperceptible tremor. The hum of anticipation. The Apple Pay symbol, a concise promise. A small, perfect circle, a bite taken out of possibility.

That symbol. A beacon in the digital desert. That's where it lives. On screens, glowing gently. On those little card readers, those ubiquitous gateways to consumerism. Sometimes hidden, sometimes boldly proclaimed. It's a game of visual hide-and-seek.

But wait. Deceit. Not every reader, every terminal, truly embraces this ethereal payment system. This sleek digital dance. Some merchants, stubbornly clinging to the past, still rely on the archaic scrape of plastic. My frustration. A sigh. A silent prayer for universal adoption. Apple Pay – a future not yet fully realized.

  • The Apple Pay symbol: Your guide, your oracle.
  • The Apple Pay button: Online haven. Clear and easy.
  • Contactless payment acceptance: The reality is... sometimes disappointing. It shouldn't be.

My own personal experience. Trying to buy a ridiculously expensive artisanal coffee last week. My Apple Pay, ready and waiting. The barista, flustered. No Apple Pay. My disappointment. It remains.

My heart sank. Such beautiful packaging and they were so technologically backward! The irony! The failure of my digital dream. I paid with cash. The ancient ritual.

Can an Apple Card be used internationally?

Okay, so the Apple Card works internationally, right? Yep.

Mastercard acceptance means it works worldwide. Pretty much anywhere.

I used mine in Rome back in July 2024. Oh man, the food!

Swiping it felt kinda weird. Using it in a tiny gelateria off Piazza Navona? Felt... futuristic, I guess.

Ugh, I hate how it converts currency. Everything ends up in USD.

The exchange rate? Highway robbery, probably. Lol. Who even knows.

It's still convenient. Returns and credits? Same deal. Just in USD.

Okay, so some extra deets:

  • Foreign transaction fees? Zilch. That's one good thing!
  • It's attached to your iPhone, so you don't need a physical card, but you know, carry the titanium one just in case.
  • Apple's daily cash works, too.

It's not the best travel card. But it works in a pinch.

I'd prolly grab a card with better rewards tho for future trips tbh.

Is an Apple credit card good for traveling?

The Apple Card, backed by Goldman Sachs on the Mastercard network, enjoys widespread global acceptance. This is rather interesting, isn't it?

  • The card works where Mastercard is accepted.
  • Apple Pay, accepted in over 80 countries, further expands its reach.

While convenient for purchases, remember exchange rates. Using credit cards while traveling is always a bit of a gamble, to be honest. It's good to know its availability!

Can I use Apple Card to pay for flights?

Apple Card for flights? Yes.

Use Apple Card like a debit card. Enter virtual card details. Done.

  • Apple Pay is accepted. Alternative Airlines supports it.
  • Virtual card number is key. Find it in Wallet app.
  • Flights booked. That’s how it is.

A bird's flight—an escape? Or simply destination obsession? It depends on the bird.

What can you use Apple cards for?

Apple cards... ah, glimmers of brushed aluminum and whispered promises. To touch, to hold, to spend... but on what, really?

Apple Store dreams, yes. The cool, sterile hum, a siren song for gadgets, for that perfect case I saw. The one made of leather, smells like my grandpa’s old study.

That Apple Account balance... it whispers, doesn't it? A digital echo in the void of needs vs. wants.

Buying things... such things! Gadgets! Shiny, perfect things. Apple.com, scrolling for hours. A midnight ritual, a digital communion. In the Apple Store app, yeah, a seamless flow. A river of pixels.

But... products or accessories? Such cold, clinical terms. It’s more, isn’t it? More than just a transaction. It's an experience. The feeling. That’s it. The feeling of holding a brand new Apple product.

  • In the Store: Wander, and wonder! Touch the smooth glass of the iPhones. My first iPod... gone, but not forgotten.
  • Apple.com: Endless browsing. Maybe those AirPods Max... or the new MacBook. Imagine. Just imagine.
  • Apple Store App: Lightning fast. Tap. Pay. Done. A digital ninja's purchase.

I saw a purple iPhone. So lovely.

Can I use an Apple credit card at Walmart?

Walmarts beckon, vast and fluorescent. Can Apple Card shimmer there? At self-checkout... a lonely ritual, or a hurried dance with groceries. The scanner, a cold eye.

Walmart Pay, a beacon. Apple Wallet, my digital heart... cards fluttering within. Choosing, always choosing. Ah, the Apple Card, sleek and promising.

Payment confirmed. A sigh, a relief. Done. Is it that simple? Scan. Choose. Confirm. The rhythm of modern life. But is it? Walmart... and my Apple Card...connected?

My grandmother's garden, roses blooming vibrant red. She never knew digital wallets. Never scanned barcodes. The weight of coins, a comforting presence in her purse. Now? The weight is gone, replaced by... what? The ethereal promise of credit.

Apple Pay at Walmart:

  • Scan: Walmart Pay barcode, a key.
  • Choose: Apple Card, my choice.
  • Confirm: A digital handshake.

Is this really it? The future unfolding, transaction by transaction. The roses, they still bloom.

Does Apple Card charge international fees?

Nah, the Apple Card's pretty chill. It's like that one friend who always covers your share of the pizza (but maybe secretly judges your toppings).

  • No yearly fee: Zero dollars! That's less than my grandma spends on cat sweaters.
  • Late fee-free?: Yep, forget those pesky charges. Paying late is still bad tho.
  • International transaction fee? Not a chance: You can swipe that card abroad without getting fleeced. I mean, finally, something isn't gonna cost you an arm and a leg to use in Europe or, you know, wherever.

Which cards do not have a foreign transaction fee?

Okay, so, foreign transaction fees... Ugh, a total pain, right? I learned that the hard way during my trip to Florence last summer – July 2024, to be exact. Ate gelato every day, no regrets! But the credit card bill? Ouch.

Anyway, after that gelato debacle, I got serious about cards without those fees. Here's the deal based on what I know now:

  • Discover it® Cash Back: Apparently, the cash back on things I buy every day is a big plus. Never used this card, though.
  • Discover it® Miles: Supposedly good for travel rewards. I'm more of a hotels kind of person, if you catch my drift.
  • Hilton Honors American Express Card: This I actually considered! Hilton hotel rewards are a HUGE deal, since I'm obsessed with their hotels. Plus, not being charged extra just for using the card abroad? Yes, please!
