Cf 4とは何ですか？

CF-4? What is that, anyway?

Okay, so, I've been reading up on this CF-4 thing, and it's basically an engine oil, right? Specifically for diesel engines. Kind of like... think of it as the premium choice back in the day. Like, the best you could get. You know? Back then, it was the oil.

But here's where it gets a little weird. Apparently, you can use it in gasoline engines, too! Which... huh? Makes me think it's pretty darn versatile, or maybe it was just a really good all-around oil before they came up with more specialized stuff. Like, I remember my grandpa always used just one type of oil for his truck and his old sedan. Maybe it was something like CF-4? Who knows.

It makes you wonder though, right? If CF-4 was so good, why isn't it the standard now? There must be something even better out there these days, for both diesel and gasoline engines. I mean, technology marches on, doesn't it? Think of how much phones have changed... engine oil has probably changed a lot too. I'll have to ask my mechanic about it next time I'm in. He always knows the latest scoop on this kind of stuff.
