How big can a drop box be?

So, how HUGE can a Dropbox actually get? I mean, seriously, right? I was freaking out a little, thinking I'd hit some random limit. Turns out, wow, that's a pretty big difference between the desktop and the mobile/web versions! I'm SO relieved to know I can upload files up to 2TB using the desktop app—that's practically my entire hard drive's worth of photos and videos from that crazy backpacking trip through Southeast Asia last year. Remember that time I almost lost all those amazing sunset shots in Vang Vieng? Never again!

But, 375GB for mobile and web uploads? That's, like, a bummer. What if I'm on a shoot, you know, like last month trying to get that amazing time lapse of the Milky Way? And I need to upload a massive 400GB video file immediately? I mean, c'mon! Guess I have to wait until I get back to my laptop. That's kind of a pain. It definitely limits spontaneity, doesn't it?

Still, though... 2TB on the desktop app is pretty darn awesome. I'm all set for years of backups and project files! Maybe I should start organizing better though... heh.
