How often does Waze recalculate?

Waze typically recalculates routes in real-time based on current traffic conditions. While the app itself updates roughly every 24 hours, route adjustments happen constantly as new information becomes available from Wazers and other sources. Delays can sometimes occur, but route recalculations are generally frequent and dynamic.

Okay, so how often does Waze recalculate? It's kind of crazy, actually. I mean, it feels like constantly, right? You'll be driving along, thinking you're on the fastest route, and BAM! Waze suddenly throws you a curveball and reroutes you down some side street you never even knew existed. It's like, "Wait, what? Where are we going now?!"

Officially, the app itself updates every 24 hours or so, I think. But the route recalculations? Those are happening all the time. Like, real-time, supposedly. It's taking in info from other Wazers (those little icons on the map!), accidents, traffic jams, speed traps... you name it. Remember that time we were driving to that concert in Chicago? Traffic was insane, but Waze kept rerouting us, like, every few minutes. It was a little stressful, honestly, always having to adjust, but we probably would've been stuck in traffic for hours if it hadn't been for Waze.

Sometimes, though, it can be a little slow. Like that one time I was heading to the airport and there was a massive accident I didn't know about. Waze took a little while to catch up, and I ended up losing some precious time. So, it's not perfect, but overall? It's pretty amazing how quickly it usually responds to changing conditions. Makes you wonder how it all works, doesn't it?
