Is GPT-4 a lot better than GPT-3?

Is GPT-4 way better than GPT-3? Gosh, yeah, I think so. It feels like a giant leap, you know? They're keeping mum about exactly how much bigger it is – all that talk about parameter counts, blah blah blah – but it's clearly a huge jump. I mean, I was trying to get GPT-3 to summarize a ridiculously long, rambling email from my aunt about her prize-winning zucchini – it just… sputtered. Completely lost the thread. GPT-4? Nailed it. Summarized the whole thing, even caught the subtle passive-aggressive bit about my cousin's tomatoes. Seriously impressive.

And then there's GPT-4's ability to handle nuanced stuff. Remember that time I tried to get GPT-3 to write a poem in iambic pentameter about my cat, Mr. Fluffernutter? Total disaster. It rhymed "orange" with "door hinge." Ouch. GPT-4, on the other hand? It wrote something actually… decent. Not Shakespeare, obviously, but it understood the rhythm and the constraints, which is more than I can say for GPT-3.
