Is GPT-4 more accurate?
Is GPT-4 really more accurate? You know, I've been wondering about that myself. And honestly? I think it is. Way more. I mean, OpenAI’s claims are pretty impressive. Near-human performance on professional and academic benchmarks? Wow. And a 40% jump in factual accuracy from GPT-3.5? That's not just a little tweak; that’s a massive leap forward. Remember all those times GPT-3.5 would just…hallucinate facts? Like that time I asked it about the history of cheese-making in Mongolia and it gave me this elaborate, completely fabricated story? Ugh. So embarrassing. I haven't seen anything like that with GPT-4. It seems so much more…grounded.
It's also a relief that it’s less likely to spout toxic nonsense. Who needs that? Nobody. It makes me feel so much more comfortable actually using the thing, you know? I can actually ask it sensitive questions without bracing myself for some wildly offensive or inappropriate response. Which, let's be honest, was a real problem before.
It's not perfect, of course. It’s still learning. But the improvement is definitely noticeable. It feels like a huge step in the right direction. Like, maybe, just maybe, we’re actually getting somewhere with this whole AI thing. What do you think?
