Is YouTube a content provider?
Okay, so, is YouTube really a content provider? I mean, duh, right? But sometimes it's good to really think about these things.
Yeah, absolutely! YouTube totally is a content provider. I think what really makes it obvious is just the sheer amount of stuff that's on there. Like, you can find everything from cat videos (of course!) to full-blown documentaries. Remember that time I spent, like, hours watching DIY home renovation videos? YouTube was my guru then.
It's not just user-generated stuff, either, which is what a lot of people think about first. There are so many professionally produced videos, you know? Music videos, TV show clips... it's all there.
Honestly, when you think about it, it's in the same league as Wikipedia, which everyone agrees is a content provider. And even news outlets have channels now! So, yeah, YouTube's a major player, no question. It's basically taken over the world's attention span, one video at a time, hasn't it? Sometimes I wonder what we did before YouTube... probably read more books, haha! Just kidding... mostly.
