What category of social media is TikTok?

Okay, so you wanna know what kinda social media platform TikTok really is, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it's a short-form video social media platform. I mean, that's the official line, right?

Basically, people make these super quick, vertical videos – anywhere from just a few seconds to, I think, now like 10 minutes? Crazy, right? Who thought we'd be watching 10-minute TikToks? I remember when it was all 15-second dance crazes!

And it's ALL about trends. Seriously, you blink and there's a new song everyone's using, a new challenge everyone's doing, or some weird filter that's suddenly the thing. It's kinda wild how fast it all moves. Remember that one trend with the the ice and coffee? Yeah, I tried that, made such a mess.

But the cool thing, I think, is how easy it is to just find stuff. You just open the app and BAM! – endless stream of videos. And before you know it, you've lost an hour. Happens to me ALL the time. But yeah, it’s definitely a place to just discover and watch user-generated videos. What's not to like, really? Well, except maybe the time suck, haha!
