What is a sample shipment?

Okay, so what’s a sample shipment? Well, it’s like… a little sneak peek, right? A company is basically saying, “Here, try this out! See if you like it!” Hoping you’ll be so blown away you actually buy the thing later. It’s kind of a gamble for them, isn’t it? Just giving stuff away!

I mean, think about it – they’re letting you have something for free (well, sometimes, shipping can be a pain). I remember once, my friend ordered a sample of this fancy face cream from Korea. Tiny little jar, it was. But the customs forms… oh my goodness. It was like they thought she was importing a whole tanker full of the stuff! It got held up for weeks. So yeah, I’ve heard importing samples can be a real hassle. Some countries? Super strict. I guess they’re worried about people trying to, you know, skip out on paying import taxes.
