What is the fastest a bullet can go?

Wow, thats fascinating! So, bullets are fast, sure, but not that fast. Its kind of disappointing to think nothing I could realistically buy for target practice would even touch those hypersonic speeds, right? Still, 5,582 fps is pretty darn quick, and Im sure it feels plenty fast at the range!

What’s the fastest a bullet can go? I mean, seriously, how fast? I was looking this up the other day, completely geeking out, you know? Like, I picture these things, zooming – whoosh – and it’s just… mind-blowing.

Wow, that’s fascinating! So, bullets are fast, obviously, but not that fast. I was kinda bummed, actually. I mean, I’m not exactly buying military-grade weaponry for target practice anytime soon – that’s just not happening, lol! – so the idea that nothing I could realistically get my hands on would even come close to hypersonic speeds… well, it’s a bit of a letdown. Right? I pictured myself casually outshooting a rocket or something. Silly, I know.

Still, 5,582 feet per second? That’s… insane. Pretty darn quick, yeah. I bet it feels plenty fast at the range, even if it’s not breaking the sound barrier a million times over. I remember this one time at the gun range, I was shooting my dad’s old .22 – a little thing, really – and even that felt incredibly fast, the kickback surprising me every time. I can only imagine what a proper, high-velocity round would feel like. Probably terrifying, and maybe a bit awesome. Maybe. Probably more terrifying, though.
