What is the forecast for the blockchain market size?

So, you want to know how big the blockchain market is gonna get? It's a good question, and honestly, it's a bit like predicting the weather – everyone has a slightly different forecast! I was looking into this the other day, and it's pretty wild how much the predictions can change.

For example, I saw one report from back in June of '22 – you know, a while ago now – that was saying blockchain would be a massive $1.235 trillion market by 2030! Trillion! Can you even imagine? That's like... an insane 82.8% annual growth. Who even knows if that's possible, right? But then, more recently, just this past December (2023, in case you're reading this in the future!), I stumbled across another forecast, and this one was saying more like $943 billion by 2032. Still huge, obviously, but… quite a bit lower. And a slower growth rate too – “only” 56.1%.

It really makes you think, doesn't it? How can these predictions be so different? I guess part of it is the different timelines they're using. One's looking at 2030, the other 2032. That extra couple of years can make a huge difference when you're talking about these kind of exponential growth projections. It kind of reminds me of when I tried to predict how many tomatoes my little garden would produce… let’s just say I was way off. Anyway, the point is, predicting the future is hard! Especially with something as fast-moving as blockchain.
