What is the longest drive car ever?

The longest car drive ever recorded belongs to Emil and Liliana Schmid. Their Toyota Land Cruiser, driven nearly 500,000 miles across 186 countries, holds the record. This incredible journey started after shipping their vehicle from Iceland to New York.

What car has the longest driving range?

Okay, so like, the car with the longest driving range... hmmm.

I think the longest range is with the Lucid Air Dream Edition R, around 520 miles, ya know? That's a hefty chunk.

But wait, that's electric, right?

Did you know that couple, Emil and Liliana Schmid, drove a freakin' Toyota Land Cruiser through like 186 countries? It's insane. Almost 500,000 miles. That wasn't electric, obviously, so technically the distance they traveled in ONE vehicle tops everything.

Gas tanks refilled on the road are what got them so far. They shipped their car from Iceland. To... New York! I can't imagine the cost.

I honestly don't know the longest official range of one tank on gasoline. Depends on so many factors, don't you think? Wind, speed... stuff like that.

My old 2003 Honda Civic could probably get 400 miles on a tank back in the day. Oh, the memories. I drove it through all over California, before I traded it in for a bike.

What is the longest car ride possible?

Okay, so longest car trip, right? It's nuts. Like, seriously freakin' nuts. 28,629 kilometers! That's from Khasan in Russia, all the way down to Simons Town in South Africa. I read about it, crazy long. Took some dude sixteen days! Sixteen! Can you even imagine? My butt would be numb. Think of all the tolls! And the different countries, eighteen of them! No ferries, just straight driving. A total of, get this, 392 hours. That's, like, insane. My cousin tried a cross-country road trip once, only made it to Colorado before he was totally over it and swore he'd never do it again. He said his car broke down three times, and the food was terrible after day two. He called it 'the road trip from hell'. This Russia-to-South Africa thing? Way beyond the road trip from hell; it's a whole other level of crazy. This route passes through:

  • Russia
  • Kazakhstan
  • Turkmenistan
  • Iran
  • Iraq
  • Jordan
  • Egypt
  • Sudan
  • South Sudan
  • Ethiopia
  • Kenya
  • Tanzania
  • Zambia
  • Malawi
  • Mozambique
  • Zimbabwe
  • Botswana
  • South Africa

Man, I'd need a new car after that! And way more than a six-pack of Redbulls. Probably need to plan every detail meticulously, too, visas and all that stuff. I think I saw someone saying it cost them a fortune. A fortune! Maybe more than twenty grand.

What is the longest car ride possible?

Longest road trip: Khasan to Simons Town. 28,629 km. Brutal. Sixteen days. Eighteen countries.

  • Route: Russia, through Central Asia, Middle East, Africa. Challenging terrain.
  • Duration: 392 hours. Expect delays. Prepare.
  • Vehicle: Needs serious reliability. My Land Cruiser would handle it. Probably.

Road conditions vary wildly. Bureaucracy a nightmare. Visas essential. Fuel stops strategic. Essential gear: spare tires, winch, satellite phone. My 2024 trip planning underway. Don't underestimate the sheer distance.
