What is the risk of security?
Is security really that big of a deal? Well, let me tell you, it keeps me up at night sometimes. I mean, think about it – all our stuff is online now. Photos, bank details, everything! Data breaches are seriously scary. I remember reading about that massive Equifax breach a few years back...millions of people affected. Just thinking about someone having access to my social security number or credit card info… ugh, it makes my stomach churn. And then there’s malware and ransomware. Imagine your computer just locking up, all your files held hostage. A friend of mine actually had that happen – total nightmare, cost him a fortune to get his data back. Talk about a violation! Not to mention the more insidious threats, you know? Like, what if someone you knew – an insider threat, like at a company – decided to leak your info? The betrayal! And don’t even get me started on phishing scams. They're getting so sophisticated these days, it’s hard to tell what's real and what’s not. Honestly, it feels like a never-ending struggle sometimes, this whole security thing. Trying to protect yourself from financial ruin, identity theft...a totally wrecked reputation. It's exhausting, isn't it?
