Okay, so transportation’s role? It’s HUGE. Like, think about it – getting groceries from the store on July 12th, that was a car trip, right? Everything’s connected.

My aunt’s business relies entirely on reliable shipping; her handmade pottery sells internationally. That’s the power of transport. No trucks, no sales. Simple.

I remember visiting my grandma in Ohio last Thanksgiving – a 12 hour drive! But that trip, even with gas costing $4.50/gallon, let me connect with her. Transportation enables human connection.

Without it, trade’s impossible. My friend’s import business would crumble. He brings in those amazing vintage records from Japan. Shipping is his lifeblood. Transportation = global economy.

So yeah, moving stuff and people. But also, it creates jobs, builds communities, and lets us connect with others. It’s absolutely essential, really.

What is the role of IT in transportation?

It’s late. IT in transportation… a big question. Just feels… heavy tonight.

Equity. That’s the word. Or lack thereof. It’s not just about buses. It’s about respect. About giving a damn. It’s about whether you can even get to a damn thing, you know?

I remember my own struggles. Finding a decent job, away from this shithole. Gas prices were insane this year. It’s brutal.

It’s a system designed for failure, for some. For many. I know. I feel it in my bones. A gnawing emptiness that transportation… or the lack of it… created.
